China Tom Miéville (1972) received recognition as a British social-political activist, fantasy and comic book writer. He received a range of awards inclusive of the Locus Awards for Best Fantasy and Science Fiction publications. Miéville born in Norwich and raised in Willesden received an opportunity to live in London during his childhood years. He graduated in Social Anthropology at Clare College, Cambridge in 1994. He also completed his master’s and doctor’s degrees in International Relations at the London School of Economics in 2001.
One of his novels reached dystopian interests and refers to The City and The City that revolves around a murder investigation in two separate cities. Miéville himself sees his literature as weird fiction. He also formed part of the Socialist Workers Party until 2013 and the International Socialist Organization (US-based).
