David Karp (1922-1999) received recognition as an American book and television writer. He also used the pen names of Wallace Ware or Adam Singer. Karp received popularity after the publication of a dystopian novel named One. The novel focuses on a society aiming to reach confessed perfection. Karp born in Manhattan adopted many roles in his career from clothing selling or doorman to joining the United States Army in 1942. He attended post-school education at the City College of New York in 1948. Besides, he also worked as a writer at the New York Radio Station.
