Eugen Richter (1838 – 1906) is the well-known author of the novel Pictures of the Socialistic Future (1891). His novel focused on Germany and the impacts of socialism on society. He received a law degree in 1859, after his attendance at the University of Bonn, followed by Heidelberg and Berlin. Richter entered the judicial civil system and participated in a rich political career by joining varied political parties, including the German Progress and Freeminded Party. Also, Richter became the main editor of a liberal newspaper named Freissinige Zeitung between 1885 to 1904.
