Gary Shteyngart (1972) received recognition as an American writer born in Leningrad, USSR and became popular as a satirical novelist. Shteyngart published The Russian Debutante’s Handbook (2002) after his visit to Prague in 1990, where he received significant motivation. He invested his skills and published the Super Sad True Love Story (2010). His origin seems Russian and Jewish, and he developed diverse comic book writing skills at a young age. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 and lived a significant part of his childhood in New York. He attended Stuyvesant High School in New York City and Oberlin College in Ohio. Shteyngart completed his political sciences degree in 1995.
