Gemma Malley (1971) started her academic career at the University of Reading, UK. She majored in Philosophy and worked as a journalist. Her position allowed her to edit various business magazines. She used her skills to contribute to the Sunday Telegraph and Company Magazine. She lives with her husband and children in South London. Malley received awards for her The Declaration young adult novel published in 2008. It focuses on the display of a dystopian reality in the 22nd century where humanity cured sicknesses and aim to create an immortal life. She published The Resistance (2008), The Legacy (2010) and The Killables (2012) and other novels.
