Harry Max Harrison (1925–2012) received recognition as an American science fiction writer who published distinct novels. Some books that formed part of his publication history included Make Room! Make Room!, The Stainless Steel Rat and To The Stars. Harrison finished school in 1943 at Forest Hills High School and joined the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. In 1946 he started his academic career at Hunter College, New York City. He also took part in the selling of science fiction magazines or comics. Harrison lived in many parts of the world, for example, Italy, Ireland, and England.
