Harry Norman Turtledove (1949) received popularity as an American book writer. He focused his interests in science fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, and alternate history. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and lived during his childhood in Gardena, California, and received public school education. His paternal grandparents were from a Romanian Jew descent. Turtledove received a doctor’s degree in Byzantine history during 1977. He published a diversity of books but one of his renowned books relates to In the Presence of Mine Enemies published in 2003. It presents an alternate history of Jews living in Berlin 70 years after the existence of the Nazi regime.
