Leo Rutman (1935) received popularity as an American book and play writer. He uses the 20th Century New York City to set most of his novel backgrounds. Rutman received awards for his scriptwriting, from Columba, Brandeis, and Yale universities. Some of his books include Clash of Eagles (1990), Spear of Destiny (1988) and Thy Father’s Son (2002). Rutman became an author in residence at Brandeis University.
