Review and Summary of the Dystopian Novel Morning Star

***Warning Spoilers Below This Point***

Even after being broken, Darrow again rises in this novel like a morning star. His behaviour reveals significant wit and cautiousness, earned by the time and experience he collected in the previous episodes. He is neither a sixteen-year young and enthusiastic Darrow, nor he is the brave and infallible warrior anymore.

In this novel, he emerged as a wholly new Darrow with all new and mature attributes. He is the Darrow of Lykos who is the morning star for all the hell divers and miners of the red planet. He is the saviour and guides them through the dark. In this novel, he is desperate for the victory, a triumph of colours over the mighty and the most powerful Golds. The Golden Son ended with a cliffhanger approach provoking the hunger for the next episode that is ”The Morning Star’, the last volume in the Trilogy. I expected the same from the Morning star similar to the last two volumes and it proved to offer the perfect finale. Also, a solid climax to the blockbuster series.

In this novel, the Darrow’s character matures and absorbs how gigantic the universe is. Pierce Brown presented successful world-building throughout the series. He defined the simple colour-coded society in the first volume while the sight of the larger effects he explained in The Golden Son.

I believe that Darrow’s character transformation is just an epic reborn to be more mature and understand the emotional aspects of life. In this novel, Darrow’s character presents a significant influence while the other parts contain a secondary position. However, we should praise the growth of female characters throughout the series.

Final Say on the Dystopian Novel Morning Star

As I was counting days to read this last finale, the book offers impressive and engaging writing material to me and all the fans of Red Rising Trilogy who love action & thrill supported by emotions. There are many wonderful aspects of the book I loved and so I rated it 9 out of 10 because the whole series is worth reading until the end.
