Jerome Bonaparte Holgate (1812-1893) or referred to as Oliver Bolokitten received popularity as an American book writer. Holgate wrote the dystopian book named A Sojourn in the City of Amalgamation, in the Year of Our Lord, 19-. The author self-published the book in 1835. The core theme in the book discussed the occurrences of interracial marriages. Some of his other publications include Beekman Family Records (1848), Conversations on the Present Age of the World in Connection with Prophecy (1853) and Shortcomings of the Puritan church, and Reorganization of society (1863).
