Paolo Tadini Bacigalupi (1972) received recognition as an American science fiction and fantasy writer. He received the Nebula, Hugo, Compton and many more awards. His stories also became published in Asimov’s Science Fiction and The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction publications. The Windup Girl allowed him to gain significant support focused on the effects of bioengineering. He also wrote the young adult Ship Breaker Trilogy (2010-2014) and the novella named The Alchemist (2011). Besides, Bacigalupi took part in the publication of short stories as well.
