Review, Synopsis, and Summary of the Dystopian Novel ‘’Archetype’’

Archetype by M.S. Water is a fascinating tale that revolves around the character of Emma, the girl who wakes up on the Hospital bed with the wiped memories and thousands of nightmares of a place where women are nothing but a commodity and treated as very trivial. In this enthralling love story, M.D Water assumes the world which is male-dominated, women are treated and trained to become wives. Only male babies are valued and females are sent to the training centres to learn to become good housewives.

Synopsis and Summary of the Dystopian Novel ‘’Archetype’’

Emma is the main character who opens her eyes in a hospital bed with all her memories wiped.  Her only well-wishers are her loving and dashing husband Declan and a physician Dr Travista who takes care of her. In the story, she loves her husband Declan who also loves her to the moon and back but her nightmares contradict what her husband tells her. In the subconscious she watches herself going to the training centre, floating in the water tank and loving another man who is her worst enemy. It’s a mystery novel where Emma struggles to find the truth of her life hidden in the conscious and the unconscious mind.

In my opinion, it is a book with an excellent plot. M.D water has made a remarkable debut that makes you feel like you are in Emma’s head, watching all the things happening, closely. It is a thrilling story that compels you to discover the truth by reading more and more keeping you glued to the pages until you reach the end. However, the story ends with a cliff hanger that will compel you to read the other part of the series i.e. the prototype. The story is breathtaking and a must-read if you like a combination of romance and fiction dystopian novels. However, I cannot proclaim it as a totally romantic novel but a love story where our protagonist, Emma is at war with herself.

Final say on the Dystopian novel ‘’Archetype’’

I just loved reading the book and the best part of the story is that it never lets you get bored. The undiscovered truth and the mystery behind Emma’s divided life want you to read more. I can bet that you will not regret spending a few pennies on this amazing and enthralling story because it keeps you entangled in the magic of discovering nothing but the truth and this is the reason I’ve rated it as 8 out of 10.   Will, I read this story again? No, but not because it’s bad.
