Margaret Atwood’s novel MaddAddam is an interesting take on the apocalyptic world. It takes us on a journey of hundreds of years forward where humans are distinct and the world is a completely different place. Margaret Atwood is undoubtedly a very talented writer and in this novel too she has proven her writing skills extraordinarily. If you wish to read something unusual from the regular stories or you love fiction, then this novel is a must-read for you.

The world has turned into a place distinctive of humans. Only a bunch of humans have survived out of which some are not even natural, they are bio-engineered humans that replaced humankind. Just like their names green-eyed Crakers, they are different in terms of looks. They are not free to live on their own but a slave of their prophet.
Snowman-the-Jimmy is the one behind the crackers and he calls himself their prophet. He is not just powerful, but he is also planning to attack with the help of paintballers and giant Pigeons. Along with other powers, he has a power of hallucinating people and he uses the skill against Amanda because has a fling for her.
Toby is an expert gardener of Mushrooms and a bees keeper who falls in love with Zeb, who has been through a dark past. All of their lives are affected by the attack and they fight to survive their lives. Ren is also a survivor just like Toby and Zeb and together they battle for not just their existence but protecting this planet earth from enemies too.
I have personally given this story an 8.5 out of 10 for this novel MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood because this is truly a mad story full of fiction, fun and dark humour. Margaret has unquestionably written this story with all her heart which is felt by the story and the way of her deliverance in the dialogues. It’s a different version than most of the stories these days which makes it even more interesting to read and it allows her imaginative mind to think beyond the limits and stay fascinated. Will, I ever read this novel again? Yes, definitely because a fiction lover like me will definitely keep it.
