Roger Joseph Zelazny (1937-1995) received recognition as an American book writer and poet. Zelazny focused on science fiction and fantasy narratives and became known for The Chronicles Amber. He received the Hugo Award over six times and the Nebula Award over three times. Some of his other publications include This Immortal (1996), Lord of Light (1967), Permafrost (1987) and many more. He became the editor of his school newspaper and enjoyed creative writing since a young age. Zelazny joined Western Reserve University and received a B.A. degree in English during 1959. Thereafter he joined Columbia University in New York and completed his Master’s Degree in 1962. Zelazny specialised in Elizabethan and Jacobean drama. Zelazny used mythical characters and set them in a modern future world. He enjoyed investigation of the battle between modern and ancient, which displayed in his books.
