Suzy Mckee Charnas (1939) received popularity as an American short story and book writer. She contributed to the fantasy and science fiction environments, mostly. Charnas received a range of accreditations including the Nebula, Hugo and James Tiptree Jr. awards. Some of her popular publications include The Holdfast Chronicles (1974) and The Vampire Tapestry (1980). Charnas attended an art high school in New York and majored in economics and history at Barnard College. She continued to complete her Master’s degree in education, graduated from New York University and enjoyed the integration of anthropological and sociological approaches in her work. Some other publications include The Bronze King (1985), The Golden Thread (1989) and many more.
