Tahereh Mafi (1988) received popularity as an Iranian-American author. Mafi contributes, especially to the young adult fiction environment. She arrived with her parents from Iran and moved with her family to Northern California when she turned 12. At 14 they relocated to Orange County. Mafi received her education at the Soka University of America based in California. She also studied at Barcelona, Spain and developed a capability to speak over 8 languages. Her first novel received the name Shatter Me (2011). Thereafter she published Unravel Me (2013) and Ignite Me (2014). The 20th Century Fox Films bought the Shatter Me movie rights. She lives in California and enjoys her writing career.
