Samantha Shannon’s debut novel The Bone Season is a dystopian fiction story focused on the year 2059 around an underworld criminal girl aged 19. It is an exceptionally interesting story as it jumps from a happy and successful life to imprisonment. Her struggle to survive and attempts to escape are remarkably explained in the book. This novel expressed the author’s writing competencies and provided a glimpse of her typical writing style.
