Justin Cronin’s 2010 hardcore fiction novel The Passage is the fiction based story of an apocalypse which turns life upside down. A never-ending journey for survival and from being a refugee to freedom, this novel is a great source of motivation. Justin Cronin definitely demonstrated his skills in this book.

Brad Wolgast is the main lead of this novel who is genuinely a nice guy and a dutiful FBI officer. Being unaware of the consequences he suffered because of his willingness to be a loyal mate. He had to pay a huge price for that.
Amy Harper Bellafonte is the other main character described in the book. A 6 year’s old refugee determined to fight for his existence but little he knew about the complexity thereof. An outcome of the apocalypse and a government’s project ended up to be a do or die situation.
Wolgast is wholeheartedly into protecting Amy, but starting the journey, he realised it is not so simple. In a world full of menace and time never-ending, this chaos needs to stop.
An apocalypse started by a mishap leads to a never-ending fight for survival. Lives flipped around resulted in blood-shedding everywhere. Someone needs to be eloquent enough to take the position and finish it once for all. A rollercoaster ride of emotions and incidence won Justin Cronin’s award for this remarkable novel.
This story remains unique and worthy of my 9 of 10 ratings as Justin Cronin displayed his undeniable writing abilities in this piece of a science fiction novel. His imaginative mind won him an award for this novel, but also enormous respect in the reader’s hearts. The reason is the beauty of the merger of fiction stories with such a pronounced realism.
If you are someone like me who enjoys reading fiction then you will love this one and this book will surely end up being in your collection. Will, I read this novel again? Yes, I have it in my bookshelf and I will read it again for sure.
