Under The Never Sky

Review, Synopsis, and Summary of the Novel Under the Never Sky

Under the Never Sky is a dystopian novel by Veronica Rossi and the first episode of the trilogy. The novel revolves around two teenagers, namely Aria and Perry, who survive with each other’s support. They have praised this novel for its smooth writing and the bright ending that brings hope to the world. The novel wants you to imagine a high-tech world full of virtual realms and impossibilities that may sound funny.

Review and Summary of the Dystopian Novel Under the Never Sky

***Warning Spoilers Below This Point***

Aria is a 17-year-old girl exiled from Reverie. The catastrophe devastated the Earth. They banished Aria from her home for the blame that she took the lives of her best friend and the other two. They brought her up in the Pod where dwellers live a protected life in a place known as ‘’The Death shop’’ because it is full of cannibals and harmful air. Aria thinks her death is imminent because the outside world is dangerous and brutal, but soon she realises that she could live outside her pod in this savage land.

The other protagonist is Perry, who comprises exceptional smart senses. Perry lives in the ‘’Aether’’ and encounters hunger, vicious killers and cannibals. They give him amazing abilities that help him survive a vulnerable life. He can sense food and danger and understands a lot about human emotions.

In this novel, both Aria and Perry meet and rely upon each other for their own reasons. Aria needs to survive in a cruel and savage world full of danger. Perry is on a mission to find his nephew, who became abducted by the people living in the pods. Later on, they fall in love with each other that will change their life forever.

Final Say on The Dystopian Novel Under the Never Sky

The novel is a must-read if we ignore few inconsistencies. It contains all the elements a good novel normally offers for example smooth writing, excellent plotting and magnificent character detailing. It ends with hope and thankfully not a cliffhanger and so I am content to rate it as 8 out of 10.
