Veronica Anne Roth (1988) received popularity as an American book and short story writer. She earned recognition for her well-known Divergent trilogy (2011-2013) and featured on the New York Times bestselling list. Born in New York City, Roth originates from a Polish-German descent. She attended Grove Avenue Elementary and Prairie middle schools. Roth joined the Barrington High School and started her studies at Carleton College. She joined Northwestern University to take part in their creative writing program. She married Nelson Fitch, a photographer in 2011, and they live in Chicago.
Her well-known trilogy comprises the Divergent, Insurgent and the Allegiant. Roth sold her trilogy series film rights to Summit Entertainment, who produced the Divergent production. Lionsgate agreed to film the Insurgent, and Summit Entertainment announced their production of the third book Allegiant. Other novels include The End and Other Beginnings: Stories from the Future (2019) and the Chosen Ones (2020).
