Review and Summary of the Science Fiction Novel Vurt

***Warning Spoilers Below This Point***

The novel Vurt describes a story about Scribble and his gang known as the Stash Riders also focusing on Desdemona the sister of Scribble who went missing. The story is based on an alternate version of Manchester, England and shaped by a hallucinogenic drug named as Vurt. Vurt can be accessed by sucking on color-coded feathers. The humanity of Vurt achieved an objective to reach a level of existence and subsequently became real.

Before the story starts Scribble and his sister Desdemona decided to take a trip into Vurt known as English Voodoo. When Scribble awakes, he finds out that his sister disappeared. When Scribble is back from the trip, an amorphous semi-sentient blob accompanies him. The members of stash riders call this blob, ‘The Thing from Outer Space’. After this, Scribble starts his mission of finding colour-coded feathers and also searches for his sister.
